We hope that you'll visit First Christian Church so we can introduce ourselves personally. If you do, you'll find a church that loves God and one another and would love to have you become part of our community.
What can you expect – in practical terms – if you join us on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening?
Biblical worship:
The Sunday morning service would commonly be described as a traditional service. Each first Sunday of the month, we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus by recreating the meal He shared with his disciples before his crucifixion. All believers are invited to receive the Lord's Supper regardless of their background or church membership.
Sunday School and other opportunities for Christian Education:
First Christian Church has a Sunday School class for all ages - from the youngest to the oldest.
What should I wear?
Like many churches, First Christian Church has a relatively diverse membership. Some of our members are old-school and show up in their "Sunday best" every week. Others of us feel fine showing up in khakis and golf shirts, just like any other "business casual" day of the week. You decide what's most comfortable for you, and we'll be glad to see you no matter what you're wearing.
What will my children do during the service?
We welcome people of all ages to our worship service, so it is not unusual for parents and children to sit together in the sanctuary. However, we offer childcare for children from birth up to age four available throughout the worship time. We encourage all children to worship with adults for 15 minutes when the nursery is available following the Children's Sermon.
Who can I contact for more information?
